The 63rd Aviation Brigade is a military unit within the United States Army Aviation Branch. It serves under the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Established in 2015 through the merger of the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade and the 229th Aviation Brigade, it is responsible for overseeing all aviation assets and operations within the U.S. Army's Combined Arms Center. The brigade supports a wide range of missions, including air assault, air cavalry, aeromedical evacuation, air defense, and battlefield surveillance. Its role is crucial in providing mobility, reconnaissance, fire support, and medical evacuation capabilities to the ground forces when needed.
