The 3rd Infantry Division, also known as "The Rock of the Marne," is a premier combined arms division of the United States Army. Established on July 28, 1917, during World War I, it played significant roles in both World Wars and numerous post-WWII conflicts such as the Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, Iraq War, and Afghanistan War. The division's motto is "Anywhere, Anyplace, Anytime." It is headquartered at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The 3rd Infantry Division consists of around 15,000 soldiers and is known for its versatility in executing a wide range of military operations.
