The 3rd Infantry Division, also known as "The Rock of the Marne," is a premier combined arms division of the United States Army. Established on July 28, 1917, during World War I, it played significant roles in both World Wars and numerous post-WWII conflicts such as the Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, Iraq War, and Afghanistan War. The division's motto is "Anywhere, Anyplace, Anytime." It is headquartered at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
